Appointments

How to book

To book an appointment with an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or GP please call the Practice at 8am.

Please notify the Practice as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an appointment so that someone else can benefit from your cancelled appointment. Remember, you may also benefits from a cancellation.

Online Appointments

We offer the ability to book and cancel some online appointments via the Patient Access app. If you are already registered to use our online prescription service you may use the same log-in details. If you are not yet registered for online services you will need to come to the surgery in person with photo ID or a recent utility bill.

The Practice reserves the right to remove online access to services at anytime if it is deemed that the service is being misused.

Home Visit

If you are too ill to attend the surgery and require a home visit please call the surgery between 8am - 10am if possible.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The GP may telephone before the visit and may only call-out to your home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby.

Chaperones

If you would like a chaperone present at your consultation, please inform a member of our reception team or your ANP/GP who will be more than happy to arrange this for you.

GP Consultation times are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 11.30am and 4.30pm to 6pm however these may vary depending on the Doctor on duty.

The surgery will be closed on the last Wednesday or Thursday afternoon of each month (excluding August and December) for training.

When the surgery is closed to access an emergency doctor please call NHS 111 direct.

The NHS 111 service is staffed by a team of fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses. They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you straight away to the local service that can help you best. That could be A&E, an out-of-hours doctor, a walk-in centre or urgent care centre, a community nurse, an emergency dentist or a late-opening chemist.

If a health professional has given you a specific phone number to call when you are concerned about your condition, continue to use that number.
